Wyckoff Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
The course first opened for play in 1933 as The Mount Tom Golf Club. The course was designed by Donald Ross. The course was built on a rolling property at the base of Mt. Tom.
Water hazards come into play on five holes. The course has tree lined fairways and small fast greens.
Par for the course is 69. From the back tees the course plays to 5,793 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,140 yards. The course has five original Ross holes and seven original Ross greens (rerouted). There are two par fives, five par threes, eleven par fours.
Don't let the yardage fool you! Tight fairways and small target greens require precision shot making, but the real test comes once you get to the greens. The greens are severely sloped and are usually very fast. If you miss the greens you will have a very difficult up and down.
The signature hole is number 16. A par three, original Donald Ross hole, 175 yards white tee, 220 yards blue tee, uphill to a small two-tiered green. If your tee shot is left, right or especially long, you will do well to make bogey.
The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 519 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 152 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 383 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 18, a 172 yard par-3.
